Delete your account

You can delete your Kgyoka account and its data from inside the app at any time. You do not need to contact us, and you do not need a reason.

From the app

Open Kgyoka Finance and sign in.
Tap the ⚙️ settings button in the top bar.
Choose Delete my account, and type DELETE to confirm.

There is also Erase my Finance data on the same screen, which empties the app but keeps your sign-in — useful if you want to start over rather than leave.

What gets deleted

Every Finance record: accounts, transactions, budgets, goals, and registered-plan tracking.
Your saved preferences and your in-app inbox.
Your personal worship and nutrition logs, if you used those tools.
Your sign-in itself, which is removed last.

What is kept, and why

If you filed something with an organization through Kgyoka — logged volunteer hours, submitted a form, registered for an event — that record stays with the organization. It is part of their records rather than your account, in the same way a receipt you gave someone stays with them.

If you own a business workspace with other members in it, the app will ask you to hand ownership over or delete the workspace first. Their books are inside it, and an accounting ledger cannot be left without an owner.

How long it takes

Deletion happens immediately while you wait — there is no queue and no grace period. Once it finishes, the data is gone and cannot be recovered by you or by us. Routine infrastructure backups are overwritten within 30 days.
